In partnership with our Wine Director, Maria Th. Massoura DipWSET, we are delighted to introduce a series of Wine Masterclasses and Workshops, designed to deepen your knowledge and appreciation of wine.
Meet Maria Th. Massoura DipWSET
Maria Th. Massoura DipWSET is a wine educator and holder of the prestigious WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines. She has extensive experience leading wine masterclasses, educational sessions and tastings on international and Cypriot wines, as well as training restaurant teams in wine knowledge and service. She specialises in food and wine pairing and brings an engaging, approachable style to wine education.
As Wine Director at To Patrikon, Maria develops and curates the wine programme, while creating educational experiences that connect wine with food and the unique character of Cyprus. She is also an international wine and cocktail competition judge and the founder of The Wander Notes, a blog dedicated to travel, food and wine.

What to expect in our Masterclass:
· Grape:
How wine is made and what are the different styles.
· Tasting:
How to taste wine with confidence and understand what’s in your glass.
· Varieties:
Discover the world’s most important grape varieties.
· Wine Regions:
A “trip” through the main wine regions of the world and how the “Sense of Place” affects wine
· Wines of Cyprus:
An introduction to the main grape varieties, wine styles and regions of our island.
· Food & Wine Pairing:
The basic principles behind pairing food and wine and the combinations that work.
All wines will be paired with signature bites & small plates.
The Masterclass will be completed in three sessions
